Vacation...WC style:)

So, why do I say vacation WC style?  WC stands for Wireless Communications.  That's the company Keith and his friend Krish started about 6 years ago.  And they just recently sold all their SC and GA stores, about 40 of them!  This trip was a celebratory one:)  All those years of hard work, long hours, headaches, lots of employees to train, stores to build, stores to relocate, travel, not nearly enough vacation time, etc.  These guys truly deserved a true getaway...total rest and relaxation.  Well, that's what we all got:)

We left towards the end of May for one whole week of FUN! ! !  I have to warn you though, you are about to see a lot, and I mean A LOT, of pictures!  Proceed if you dare...

Here we are in the Austin airport, anxiously awaiting our flight to Miami.

We had a long layover before our flight to St. Martin, so we headed into town for some lunch and fresh air.

We arrived in St. Martin around 9pm, had a quick shower, and met up with Krish and the gang for dinner.  Here's some pics from our hotel the next day...beautiful!!!

From our balcony there was a small staircase leading to this...our own private deck on the roof!  We enjoyed a little party here last night, along with some night swimming in the ocean and pool:)

Jay, Krish's brother, tried this the day before and did awesome!

One day is all we get here.  On to our real vacation spot in Anguilla.  Here we are with Alka, Krish's mom.

Ready to board our private charter to Anguila!  A quick 20 minute ride.

Here I am with Krish's friend, Amber.  She's an athletic trainer at Clemson.

Krish's dad, Vijay, far left. Kris's brother, Jay, on the right.

 Yea!!!  We made it!

The Viceroy, Anguila.  Several pics from the lobby area.

And now, our private villa:)  We did a quick tour then I was thrown into the pool!

The dynamic duo!  Way to go boys!!!

We love the selfie stick for group pics!  Even though it looks ridiculous when you use it;)

Being thrown in again...do you see a trend here?!

Always thinking ahead, Alka brought G and P cups so we'd always have know which cup was ours, and always have a cup for our drinks to go:)

The floating volleyball net Krish brought didn't stay put...so we rigged it up with a bandana and Amanda's bathing suit top!

Each villa came with 2 golf carts to get around the resort

Everywhere we went we had our own music and portable speaker.  Dance, anyone?

Infinity pool in the lobby area, our resort/beach behind me.

Family room from the second floor.  Oh ya, I forgot to mention our villa had 2 floors with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms!  All with outdoor showers as a bonus.

 Our villa from the beach

Each morning we'd walk down the beach looking for shells.  One of the first mornings I found a bunch of small hermit crabs.  They were our little pets for a few days!

Jason, our butler, is in the blue shirt.  He did such a great job keeping up with us all and our many requests:)

This day we had the private charter again.  They gave us a boat ride around most of the island!  It's just such a beautiful place with crystal clear water, white beaches, and tall cliffs.  We stopped at a little cove where you could climb the huge rock and jump off, or just swim in the water for awhile.  It was a pretty tough climb up the boulder with a rope, then the jump itself wasn't just straight down like from a cliff, but out and over the boulder down to the water.  I wasn't up for the challenge but lots with us were.

The private charter always had a fully stocked bar with water, soda, beer, and rum punch...my favorite:)

Our next stop was a very small private island, just off Anguilla.

Such a beautiful, relaxing place!  After we ate, we chilled out on one of their tanning beds (a big bed with soft, comfy cushions on the beach).  We could've stayed there for hours just listening to the waves.

  Welcome to Beautiful Sandy Island!

Just the girls:)  Amanda, me, two girls they met in St. Marten, Alka.

Hungry and waiting for lunch!  Everything is fresh (of course) and cooked right when you order it.

Check out these crayfish!  I don't eat seafood, but everyone agreed they were the best they've ever tasted!  The chicken, rice, and beans I ate were excellent, too!

Back on our private beach outside our villa

This night we had dinner at one of the restaurants at our resort.  They even had live entertainment.

Another morning walk.  We stopped for pics on the boulders.  They're trying to prevent beach erosion so are placing these boulders in the water, and slowly more beach is being made.  It's pretty cool!  We even got to see some rocks being placed.

Here's that restaurant/bar on the left were we had lunch one afternoon.  Again, VERY good food!

Sadly, Amanda had to go back to work after a few days of vacation.  After we dropped her off at the airport in St. Martin, we headed to lunch on the beach.  This restaurant is right on a public beach, and right across from the airport!  Airplanes literally start landing right over your heads!

So, after reading this sign do you think we stood by the fence while an airplane took off???

Yes we did!  There's a road separating the runway from the beach, and when a big plane takes off everyone runs to the fence, holds on tight, and enjoys the ride!  It's amazing how powerful the jet blast actually is.  People who weren't prepared, those not holding on, got pushed into the street!

Next stop, small bar next door.

They have Cheetos in St. Martin!  Crazy!!

We checked out the casino, did some shopping, then stopped for a drink before heading back to Anguila.  It's very HOT here!

Another private charter ride, and more stamps on our passport:)

Poor selfie stick got busted...but we rigged it back together!

Tiny lizard

This day we chilled on the beach most of the day.  We had a great 4 player game of paddle ball (with 2 ping pong paddles), tried some SUP boarding (stand up paddle), and swam a bunch to cool off.

Jason, our butler, said there's a store just down the road where the guys could go buy some alcohol.  So, the boys took headed out in the golf cart and came back awhile later with some goods!  Little did they know that it's against the law to take golf carts on the roads.

 Sunset pics:)

I tried Kristi's cool holding the sun pic, but it didn't turn out right.

Sorry, had to do 1 kissy pic:)

Another pool under the bridge to our villa

I was just staring at the sunset when Keith snapped this of me.  He loves this pic so I had to post it to show his creativity.

Nice statue in our foyer, right?!

Front of our resort.  We were on our way walking, not driving the golf cart, down the road to a Mexican restaurant.

This morning we decided to check out the tennis courts.

Krish and Jay joined us later

Each villa also came with a spa credit for each person.  We headed there for our massages.

LOVED this swing!  All you could see was ocean and more ocean!

Now that's an infinity pool!
 The massage was AMAZING! ! ! ! !

 Cards anyone?

The table outside where we played lots of cards

These next few pics crack me up!  Our selfie stick fix hasn't held up so the stick can be seen in every pic.

Off to dinner on the beach!

 This dog is chillin'!

 Beautiful scenery but HOT!!!

Keith found a small shark, ankle deep water!

Time to celebrate!!!

 Time to head back home

One last private charter to St. Martin

Airport

Thanks for one AWESOME trip:)

After a week of no responsibilities, total relaxation, and loads of fun, it was good to get home.  We missed the kids SO much! ! !  They had a great time going to several friends houses, having sleepovers, doing crafts and many other fun things.  We are VERY blessed to have had such wonderful friends volunteer to watch the kids and dogs, have built a successful business in such a short time, and be able to spend a whole week away in such a beautiful place with friends who are like family to us:)  I hope you enjoyed the pics!
