My little boy turns 5!!!

Kassidy always loves giving the birthday boy breakfast in bed...waffles are Kaleb's favorite:)

He's so good at blowing out candles finally!
He was surprised to wake up to a roomful of balloons!!!
I'm 5 now, daddy!
He just saw the new Leapster...awesome:)
A real helicopter!

This little candle played the birthday song!
We dug right into the gifts after cake. Kaleb was most excited to paint his cars and play his Leapster.
The boys busy playing their games:)
Kaleb chose putt putt again for his birthday party. The weather was pretty cool but we all still had a great time!
Cars won out for the 3rd year in a row!!!

The boys found the one dirty hill and decided to climb up then slide down on their bottoms...go figure!
One of Kaleb's best friends from school, Finn.
Kaleb also shared a special treat with his class on his birthday...jello jigglers! They were a hit! We had so much fun celebrating Kaleb's 5th birthday. It's just so hard to believe that he's 5!!! He has definitely grown-up a lot during the last year. He's a big helper, listens well, is very caring and sweet, loves to cuddle, has a contagious smile, always goes up to new people and says hi my name is Kaleb. He is also very smart and catches onto things very quickly. He's already reading and spelling and doing beginner math. We still have trouble with his eating...but we're dealing with that as best we can. He is getting taller and heavier and has lots (and lots) of energy so that's great! Kaleb just really enjoys life and it's such a blessing watching him grow:) We love you so much!!! Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special day for him!

Halloween Happenings

We've had a great few weeks:) First we went to a pumpkin patch (not a real big one or an actual patch really, but lots of pumpkins to choose from). The kids picked out their pumpkins the quickest they ever have...maybe due to the rain!

Not one for carving, Kaleb chose to paint his pumpkin and then put stickers on, too.
Daddy and Kassidy were up for the challenge!
Karson is very into coloring right now, so why not color the pumpkin?
The finished product...Kassidy's design.
Kaleb's masterpiece...you can only see the sticker side but he did paint a face, too.
Every year each class votes for 1 girl and 1 boy to get the Terrific Kid Award...this year Kassidy won!!! The teacher said they spent time reviewing the reasons to vote for a specific person, characteristics of good character/behavior, etc. Everyone kept it a surprise...the winners came into the cafeteria and saw their moms/dads but still didn't know why they were there...it was really cute! Kassidy was embarassed to stand in front of everyone but very happy she got the award.

Kaleb's preschool class at their Halloween party...we made some cute little Tootsie Pop ghosts, too.
That night Kaleb's school also had their annual Fall Festival. They had some little games to play, a silent auction, and a hot dog dinner to raise money for their school. Fun, fun, fun:)
Like his red hair???!!!
Hair, nails, and face done up:)
They even painted Karson as a football player...but when he saw Kassidy's face he kept saying nose...he wanted to be a cat, too! Here he is really enjoying a candy bracelet. He was WIRED after that, to say the least!!! I've never heard him talk so much, giggle, and walk so crazy before!
Pics with all their pumpkins! They both had field trips to the pumpkin patch with school so we had lots this year.
Daddy got festive with the chalk...the kids loved it:)
My sweet little Dumbo!!!

Karson figuring out how trick or treating works. He even said Trick or Treat and Thank You after a few houses.
Taking a rest on someone's front porch stairs. He carried his full bucket around for 2 hrs!!!

Tired afterwards...
Their goodies!!!
Remember Pixi Stix?
Suckers were definitely his favorite...he tried 3 or 4 different ones.

We had a great Halloween!!! In just a few days Kaleb will turn 5 so stay tuned for lots of birthday pics...
