March Madness #2

During Spring Break we headed to San Antonio for a few days.  First stop was Sea World!  It wasn't quite how I remembered it from when I was little, but we did enjoy one roller coaster (Keith and Kassidy) and a few shows.  Unfortunately the sea lion exhibit was under construction.

Quick nap before the show!

Unfortunately, the park was very understaffed this day.  We either had to wait in line for a restaurant forever, and miss a show, or grab food on the go.  The problem was that the only food on the go open had ice cream, chips, and churros.  Needless to say we were starving after our day in the park and gobbled up some Mexican:)

The next day we went to the Alamo and River Walk downtown.  The boys had never been there so waited in a short line and walked inside and all around the building looking at artifacts and reading about Texas Independence...quite interesting:)

Somehow this is the only pic I have from River Walk.  We walked up and down both sides of the river then had lunch right beside the river.  Kaleb especially enjoyed feeding the ducks...don't tell!

It was really good to get away, even if only for two days.  We had so much fun together as a family:)  I know it will be harder to get everyone together as the kids get older and involved in more activities, so I'm very thankful we were able to do it now.

Kaleb's class had to read a biography then present it like a place setting.  He chose Tony Hawk.  I think he was pretty creative!  It's hard to tell from the pic, but the name card at the top is shaped like a skateboard, the plate like a halfpipe, and his straw is curved like a cool skateboard trick.

Karson played spring ball this year.  You'll see lots of pics coming.  He's improved so much since last year.  He hits much better and harder, can catch the ball, and is very quick!

Karson was the Ringmaster in the Kindergarten Circus!  It was quite an honor, because he was chosen as one of the top readers in the whole grade!  They even gave him one new line the day before and he remembered it...way to go Karson:)

Kaleb shows off his lost tooth!

Kassidy shows off her large USA puzzle and smaller solar system puzzle that we did together.

Karson at Lego playtime at the library.  They had to make their own space ship and this was his...done all by himself:)

Kaleb busy kite-making during a game.

 Big cheese!!!

Kaleb before a much-needed haircut;)

Stay tuned for April...and more baseball!
