Brayden and the younger boys liked this ramp for bowling.
Saturday afternoon we went to a few places to spread Dad's ashes like he wanted us to. It was the first time since his funeral we were all together (well almost, Donnie had to stay home). It was really nice to be able to honor Dad's wishes together! The grandkids had a good time helping and saying bye to Papa. The last stop was the brand new track at our high school. It is now named after him!!! There are 2 really nice plaques, one with Dad's picture and all of his accomplishments as coach, and the other with info on the Jim Hauser Sarcoma Foundation which was formed in honor of him.
If you knew my dad at all you'd know that he just LOVED coaching, and guys track was his favorite:) (Of course he we also was a great track athlete in high school, too!) He always wanted a nice new track for his athletes to run on and now it finally happened. Dad would have loved it, especially the red track! What an honor for it to have his name attached to it.
The first home meet of the season was during our Spring Break so we were able to be there for the Dedication Ceremony along with other family, close friends, ex-athletes of Dad's, and current coaches/athletes. It's just so amazing hearing all of the stories from ex-athletes of how Dad changed their lives, or inspired them to be better, or to never give up, the list goes on and on. He truly was a role model and a blessing in so many young kids lives. I'm so proud of everything my Dad did at the school, at home, and at church. It's such an honor being his daughter! I only wish he were still here...we all miss him so much!!!!!
Easter Sunday!

Money!!!
Thank you Mama:)
We love you so much!
And last but not least we have Kaleb...poor thing was so sick! It started Saturday during bowling and just got worse and worse til he became dehydrated. We took him to the ER for some fluids and anti-nausea meds because he just couldn't keep anything down. He got this cute little puppy for being a brave boy during his IV. He had to spend several days in "quarantine" in one of my moms bedrooms so no one else would get sick. He missed all the fun on Easter and we had to re-schedule our trip to the Kalahari but the good news is that no one else got sick! God is good!!! Kaleb bounced back pretty quickly after the trip to the hospital and as always never complained when he was sick. He's such a trooper:)
On our way to my Mom's house we made a quick stop at Grandma and Grandpa's for some Easter goodies! The kids were spoiled with baskets full of candy and toys. We got to see them again on our way back home for a quick lunch. It's always fun spending time with them:)We also stopped to see my best friend Kim and her family on our way back to SC. We enjoyed making cookies and eating a yummy spaghetti dinner together and had lots of "play" time with her little girl Molly. I was surprised how much Molly had grown since last time we saw her. Since she's 2 now she was really able to play a lot with our kids which was so much fun!!! We spent the night then headed out early the next morning for our long drive home.
It was a really good week of relaxation and fun:) It's always so nice catching up with everyone again and seeing how "grown-up" all of the kids are getting! We miss our family in Ohio SO much and hope to see them all REAL soon!!! Love you all!
