Halloween Happenings

We've had a great few weeks:) First we went to a pumpkin patch (not a real big one or an actual patch really, but lots of pumpkins to choose from). The kids picked out their pumpkins the quickest they ever have...maybe due to the rain!

Not one for carving, Kaleb chose to paint his pumpkin and then put stickers on, too.
Daddy and Kassidy were up for the challenge!
Karson is very into coloring right now, so why not color the pumpkin?
The finished product...Kassidy's design.
Kaleb's masterpiece...you can only see the sticker side but he did paint a face, too.
Every year each class votes for 1 girl and 1 boy to get the Terrific Kid Award...this year Kassidy won!!! The teacher said they spent time reviewing the reasons to vote for a specific person, characteristics of good character/behavior, etc. Everyone kept it a surprise...the winners came into the cafeteria and saw their moms/dads but still didn't know why they were there...it was really cute! Kassidy was embarassed to stand in front of everyone but very happy she got the award.

Kaleb's preschool class at their Halloween party...we made some cute little Tootsie Pop ghosts, too.
That night Kaleb's school also had their annual Fall Festival. They had some little games to play, a silent auction, and a hot dog dinner to raise money for their school. Fun, fun, fun:)
Like his red hair???!!!
Hair, nails, and face done up:)
They even painted Karson as a football player...but when he saw Kassidy's face he kept saying nose...he wanted to be a cat, too! Here he is really enjoying a candy bracelet. He was WIRED after that, to say the least!!! I've never heard him talk so much, giggle, and walk so crazy before!
Pics with all their pumpkins! They both had field trips to the pumpkin patch with school so we had lots this year.
Daddy got festive with the chalk...the kids loved it:)
My sweet little Dumbo!!!
Dumbo, Marie (cat from Aristocat movie), Spiderman

Karson figuring out how trick or treating works. He even said Trick or Treat and Thank You after a few houses.
Taking a rest on someone's front porch stairs. He carried his full bucket around for 2 hrs!!!

Tired afterwards...
Their goodies!!!
Remember Pixi Stix?
Suckers were definitely his favorite...he tried 3 or 4 different ones.
Kaleb showing off his Dracula rubber ducky
Mommy and Daddy's reward for taking the kids around all night:):):)
We had a great Halloween!!! In just a few days Kaleb will turn 5 so stay tuned for lots of birthday pics...
