Wow! It's been one busy month! I have a TON of pics in this blog to update you all on the Gailey happenings...
We started off May by doing HOG Day. That's Hands on Greenville for those of y'all who don't live around here:) Our church alone had over 800 volunteers this year! Keith and I were with a group who helped paint the inside of a Disability Center. This center gives jobs to people with disabilities that would normally not have a chance to earn a paycheck and live on their own. It was a great time and went fast. Here's our completed hallway and doors.
That same weekend Keith and I ran in the Mud Run...another FUN even every year!!! This was the first time either of us ran it. It's a 4 mile course with over 30 obstacles throughout the Army Training Center. You run in teams of 4, helping each other through the obstacles and of course, LOTS of MUD! The course was very challenging, especially without any training before hand, but I'd definitely do it again:) Here's our cheering section.

On Mother's Day we went to Table Rock State Park to meet up with a friend of mine from Toledo, Ohio. Every year she and her husband go on a vacation to Florida and then the mountains. It was a beautiful day and we even did a small hike!

The first weekend in June Kassidy had her 2nd dance recital. This year her class did two numbers, tap and ballet. She did such a GREAT job:)

Just a few days ago Karson figured out how to "walk" with his toy...he loves to do it now:)

Since Karson is just about 15 months now, I'll catch you up on what he can do. He can crawl super fast, pull up to standing, stand by himself for about 10 seconds, cruise a little bit, push a toy walker, climb stairs, say mama, dada, baba (for bye bye), papa, wave with both hands, do SO BIG, sign please and more, still has just the 2 bottom middle teeth but is beginning to pop through the top middle...ouch!, loves to grab his blankie and pull it close to him when he sleeps, and is still just a happy, content baby most of the time. He loves to splash in the bathtub but absolutely hates his float in the pool! He loves going for walks in his little car, too:) He is still REALLY attached to the bottle and will not drink anything except milk in it...a tiny bit stubborn! He is at such a fun age and we love watching him learn new things.
In the middle of all this, I went to Ohio to see my dad. He became short of breath and needed oxygen round the clock. After about a week of struggling to breathe he passed away on May 23rd. The sarcoma (cancer) in his lungs had taken over after 2 1/2 years. It was a very sad time to say the least. It came so unexpectedly and so fast. This whole time with his leg amputation, prosthesis, metastasis to his lungs, and chemo treatments, my dad fought so hard, and NEVER complained! He has been such an inspiration and role model for all of us and we will miss him SO very much!!!!! We never realized going through it how blessed we were to have known about his illness and take advantage of every opportunity to spend time with he and my mom. Lots of people with his type of cancer don't have that time. God was definitely gracious! I know so many of you have prayed for our family during this...I truly believe we couldn't have gotten this far without your prayers. It's comforting to feel the love and support of you all. Please continue to pray for my mom especially. I can't imagine what she's going though but I do know that with God's help she will make it through:)Here's one of my favorite pics with dad

Lastly I just want to thank everyone for your prayers, support, love, cards, and kind words. Thank you taking the time out of your busy lives to come to the showing and funeral. It meant a lot to me and my family that you were there.
