Trip to my parents
Well the kids and I made a trip to Ohio a few weeks ago. Kassidy was a HUGE help feeding Karson bottles in the car and giving herself and Kaleb snacks and drinks along the way. We only stopped 1 time each way and made it there in only 10 hours! The kids did awesome in the car...I barely heard a peep out of them! Thank goodness for DVD players:) We had a SUPER fun time visiting my family. Both my sisters and my parents live there and 6 of my nieces and nephews. As always it went too fast and we miss everyone already!!! I have to warn you...there are alot of pics to follow, but we did so many fun things I just had to show you all:) Olivia and Maddie had their dance recital that weekend so they were very busy with that. Kassidy LOVED seeing the girls dance:) She kept asking why they weren't in every number though...too funny! Hopefully on our next trip Keith can come with us and we'll be able to see his side of the family too:)
Ryan and Kaleb loved the racetrack
This is Kaleb's favorite thing to do with Papa...play with the balls (pool balls that is!) He wouldn't stop asking to play until they finally did:)
Ryan and Kassidy busy helping Mama make pizzas (Kaleb was too busy playing pool balls to help)
The masterpiece...very yummy too!!!
Mama's treat...popcorn!
Papa and Kaleb watching TV...well maybe only Papa watching!
The kids love these blocks...they are the same blocks my sisters and I played with when we were little:) Loved them back then, too!
TV time with Papa
Bath time:)
I won't say what Karson looks like in this picture, but I'm sure you're thinking the same thing:) It's actually a bath robe.
Ryan, Kassidy, and Kaleb on a bug hunt!
They actually found 3 bugs...look closely
The boys sliding their way!
My sister Kristi's nice playset...it was actually very warm this day:)
Kassidy and Austin
Kyle swinging
Kassidy, Karson, Olivia, Austin (crying), Ben, Kyle (in blue), Maddie, Kaleb (on floor) and Ryan (floor). I love that there's always 1 person crying when we try to get a pic of all the kid:) Usually it's Kaleb!
Mama and Papa with the kiddos
My sister Kaylin (Olivia, Maddie, Ben, and Kyle's mom) with Karson
Olivia-she's the oldest of the grandkids, I cannot believe she'll be 10 in August!!!
Maddie-7
Don't laugh too hard at this next pic...Kristi and I just had to show the kids how to use these!!! I'm suprised they could push us!

The kids just loved riding bikes (2 on L are Kristi's-Ryan and Austin)

I was shocked that Ben (5 1/2) could already ride a bike without training wheels...then learned he had been doing this for quite some time! Kaleb enjoyed running after him.

Mother's Day '09
We had a friend from college in town that weekend, too. Faiz flew in from Florida and it was so good to see him again and catch up on everything. It had probably been about 4 or 5 years since we've seen him! The kids LOVED having a new playmate around:)
It was such a gorgeous day outside, warm and sunny, so the kids all played out on the bouncy thing. The food was good and we all enjoyed hanging out, but of course wished we could've been with our moms!!!

Karson is 2 months old:)
Time just flies by so quickly! I can't believe another month has gone by. Karson is getting bigger, as you can see by the pics. He's now 23 1/2 inches and 12 lbs! He has outgrown his 0-3 month sleepers, onesies, and pant outfits. He is getting some rolls on his legs, a double chin, chubby cheeks, and a little tummy...so cute:)
He is a very good eater, too. I recently stopped breastfeeding (just didn't produce enough for him-I had to give him a bottle after breastfeeding because he was still hungry) and he's enjoying 5-6 oz of formula 6 times/day. It's amazing to me that he's so young and already taking 6 oz in a bottle! I'm just not used to that. (Kaleb never took more than 4-5 oz at a time).
He sleeps through the night, yea!, but usually fusses for his paci once or twice in the early morning. He goes to sleep at 8:30 or 9pm (still in his bouncy), has his last feeding at 10:30, then upstairs to bed until 6:45-7am. Now that he's on bottles Keith does his last feeding so I can get to sleep early...this is very nice and much needed! And Keith loves that special daddy time with Karson:)
Karson can really focus on you now and smiles so big when you hold him close and talk to him. His eyes really light up with a big smile:) You can see his lips and tongue go nuts trying to coo at you...a few times he's managed to make some noise. Such a cute little voice, a little deeper voice.
He does not like tummy time very much and cries almost every time. I do let him cry a few minutes though to get some exercise in. Kassidy and Kaleb try real hard to entertain him with all sorts of toys, rattles, and music...such big helpers!
The kids are still doing really well with their little brother. Kassidy especially is a huge help for me:) She will hold him in the boppy, feed him bottles, run and get me anything I need, help change his diapers and get him dressed. Kaleb loves to show Karson all the toys and rattles, and is always saying, "He's such a cute baby!" They both love to help with bathing Karson and will say it's ok when he cries (although lately he loves his baths!). They have both started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to Karson as soon as he starts crying which is really sweet! Oh, they just LOVE when Karson smiles at them! They get huge smiles from ear to ear and say "Look he's smiling at me! He loves me!" And of course they are constantly saying they love him.
Well, that about covers Karson right now. He's being a very good 3rd baby and fitting into our family just perfectly. We are just so thankful for our gift from God (all 3 of them!!!) and couldn't imagine our life without them.
Karson's first smiles:)
An attempt at tummy time so he won't cry...actually works!
Our chubby little boy all smiles:)
Just couldn't resist taking a pic of this face!

Creative Hands
This was a very fun event at the kids school Friday night. There were lots of different stations set up with all sorts of 'hands-on' activities for the kids. Kassidy and Kaleb had a great time exploring and playing and tried everything at least two times! Needless to say, they did not want to leave! Enjoy the pics below...
Some kind of gel crystals
Squirt bottle painting...Kaleb spent a lot of time here!
Kassidy's golf ball painting
Everyone got to see Karson...he was such a good boy:)
Kaleb and Ava (his favorite girl in class!) with the moon sand
Kaleb with Hallie and Zane (his best bud!)
