Will I ever catch up?

Well I sure am gonna try:)

November 2013...seems like such a long time ago!  Besides Kaleb's birthday, we had lots of fun this month.

Karson played basketball at the Y.  This was his first time ever playing basketball and his coach was amazing!  She taught them basic skills like dribbling, shooting, and defense, and they even won some games.

Karson also had a Thanksgiving play at his school.  Too cute:)  He was very bashful and would hardly even look at me, let alone smile.  He did sing though and even managed to do some of the motions for the songs.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog, Daisy.  She was such a good girl and we miss her so much!  Jack was extremely sad those first few days after, too.
One day we saw a falcon out our back window...we could hardly believe it!  I grabbed the camera fast and managed to snap a pic before it flew off.
Last we have Thanksgiving!  This was such a special day for us (for more than the obvious reasons).  This year not only did we have my cousin and her family but we also had my Aunt Judy and Stan come visit!  We really had a fun time together, eating and catching up with everyone.  The kids enjoyed their festive egg hunt and a special surprise from Aunt Judy:)

The kids table...Karson, Kaleb, Sara, Eva and Julia (my cousins cutie pies), Kassidy, Alex, and Evan

A few attempts to get all the kids smiling together:)

Here's Aunt Judy handing out special gifts to all the kiddos...flower pots and seeds to plant in the spring:)

 Stay tuned for December...

Kaleb turns 8...whoa, did you say 8???

That's right!  Kaleb is 8 now...I know, time flies!  We had his party at the park (again).  It's just the perfect place to have a fall birthday party here with the cool weather and no crazy kids or mess in the house.

The youngest boy invited to the party...Kolton:)
 Kaleb's best bud...Jaden
Kaleb is all about Pokemon so who better than Raichu on his cake?!

We got balloons for his friends to take home but of course he wanted to keep them all!  That didn't happen.

Here's the birthday boy the morning of his actual birthday.

Yummy cinnamon rolls!!!
After school he opened presents...he got LOTS of great stuff!!!  And almost $100 worth of gift cards to Target!

I'd have to say this is one of his favorites...the marble maze!  He and Karson sit and play with this for hours...yes, hours!  They even made up a Jingle Bells game:)
Brownies for dessert after Stevie B's Pizza.

Here we are trying out the 2 rockets Kaleb's friend got him for his birthday.  Everything was set up correctly but they just wouldn't fire...I'll keep you posted on the repairs...

Kaleb's 8 yr. well visit was ok.  He gained 4 pounds this past year and 1 1/2 inches...but still will only end up around 5'4".  Not even close to the 7 feet he wants to be!  We are trying really hard to eat some veggies and drink whole milk every day in addition to the Pediasure he is already drinking.  His  growth has always been an issue and it is just so frustrating!!!  I can't help but feel I failed as a parent for getting his G-tube removed too early.  I just pray that whatever size he's supposed to be he actually reaches it, he eats a healthy diet, and that he learns to enjoy eating more foods like we do:)

His stats are 39 lbs (.1%), 46 in ((2.5%), and BMI 12.96 (.3%).

Kaleb is still my sweet little boy:)  He loves to give hugs and kisses (especially fishy kisses!), have his back rubbed before bed, makes friends super easily, and has a contagious laugh.  He is doing very well in school with straight A's (more like straight 100's!) and is such a big boy doing his homework every night by himself.  I know I've said this before, but Kaleb LOVES to read.  Sometimes we haven't seen him for awhile and he'll be up in his room reading.  Or instead of getting ready for school or bed he's reading.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Pokemon books are his favorite right now.  (We've even had to take away his books as a consequence!)  Kaleb enjoys playing the Wii or DS and playing with Karson the most...those two boys can play for hours on end!!!

A big thank you to all of our friends and family who helped make this birthday so special for Kaleb:) He is so blessed to have you all in his life!  I still can't believe he is 8!!!
