August catch-up

I know...it's November and I'm just now posting for August!  It's crazy!!!  We've had some technical difficulties with both the camera and computer but all is good now:)

All 3 kiddos participated in the YMCA's Splash 'n Dash this August.  First they swam and then they ran (distance based on age).  They all worked super hard and it was fun to watch them.

 Kassidy was up first

 Kaleb's turn

 Finally Karson's turn

Everyone got a medal for participation.
Kassidy was 2nd in her age group

Karson was 3rd in his age group

We all like to watch Wipe Out during the summer.  We decided to have our own obstacle course at home.  We even had members of the audience throwing balls at the participants:)  Unfortunately, our camera isn't too great with a lot of movement so some pics are blurry.  They are just too funny to pass up though!

Checking Elmo's heart beat with a stethoscope
 Posing for a pic:)
 Making a shot
 Jumping across the couches
Sliding on your belly down the stairs
 Breaking through the cushion wall
 High step over the stools
 FInished!

There were also 3 whoopee cushions to sit on

And that leads us to the First Day of School, 2013!!!  It's hard to believe that Karson is in his last year of preschool.  We sure do have a lot of fun together during my days off of work:)
My big 2nd and 4th graders:)

And I can't forget our elderly members of the family...Daisy (12), and Jack (11)

Game Time!

Keith was lucky enough to get lots of cool tickets this summer!  First he took Kaleb to see the Indians play in Atlanta.  Kaleb just LOVED it!!!  He payed attention and asked questions the whole time.

Of course this was after their long trek to the game...a huge accident on the highway with an engine fire left the highway at a standstill for a long time!  Here they are chillin on the side of the road.

What's a baseball game without cotton candy, right?!

Next game they saw the Indians play at home in Cleveland!  Kaleb and Karson both were able to join Daddy.  They even got to have free hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones:)  A child's dream come true!

Aunt Beth was also in town so they all got to go together:)  Kaleb had a big first while at the game...he watched a fireworks show live!!!  This is a HUGE step for Kaleb who hates loud noises and especially fireworks.  Keith said he did awesome and just had a ball:)

Nice kids zone inside of the ballpark.

That same weekend they went to see the Browns play and even tailgated downtown before the game.  Kaleb got to see Keith's cousins little boy who's about the same age.  They had a great time together!

Keith and Kaleb at their very good seats in the stadium.

Kaleb had a great time watching the game and learned a lot about football.

Their weekend in Ohio was a much needed break and the boys had a really great time together.  They were excited to see Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Emily and Uncle Brian, Ian, and Aunt Beth Ann, too.  Uncle Brian even had a big surprise for the boys...custom made Louisville Sluggers!!!  We already have Kaleb's hanging up in his sports room right by his Indians jersey that says Gailey.  What a super cool gift:)  Thanks to everyone for making this special weekend happen!  We love you all!!!
