Fun at Falls Park

What better way to spend a hot afternoon then with a trip to Falls Park and the kids fountains, right?!  They had an absolute blast getting wet, then going to the park, then getting wet again:)

Jack even joined us on this adventure!

As always, Kaleb made a new friend and they enjoyed finding ducks.

View across the river at the new Ampitheater
This is an old building next to the Ampitheater that's been made into a big hall for receptions and such

 Park of the kids fountains
This was the weekend I watched my friends little boy, Lucas.  He just turned 2 in May.  He was such a good boy while Mommy was at a conference in Vegas.  He had so much fun playing with the kids and all their toys:)  Kassidy was a HUGE help... AKA Sitter!

Over at Falls Park now, behind is a little bit of the new bridge.
The ducks Jack kept swimming after but could never reach!  We had to keep him on the leash...sorry boy!

 The bridge

This is a favorite spot of mine downtown.  It's just really neat seeing all of those big roots!  Kaleb posing...

 and sitting...
 Karson's turn!

 with a tough face!
Back to the fountains...this time Lucas enjoyed getting wet, too:)

Kaleb's faces just crack us up=)

 Our crazy (and wet) bunch!

Rockstar Cheer

This year Kassidy is trying something new...Competition Cheerleading!  Keith works with a guy who has a high school daughter involved in this.  They invited Kassidy out to Furman University last year to watch a competition.  Needless to say, she was hooked:)  Try-outs were in May and she's been tumbling twice/week most of the summer.  They have team practices, too, and will learn their choreography this Saturday.  Here's Kassidy practicing some jumps, back bends, walking in a back bend, cartwheel, and handstand.  She has made great progress in all of these skills!!!

Her favorite part of Cheerleading so far are definitely the stunts.  In the beginning they focused on just 2 person stunts but have since moved onto group stunts involving as many as 5-6 people.  She's been a flyer and a base and likes them both.

It's very hard to get pics from the viewing area, especially if they're not right in front of me.  But, I will try to get some more soon so you can see the progress.  Competitions start in January and run through May.  Kassidy is very excited about this new venture:)  It's a lot of hard work but she's doing a great job!!!  She's even made some new friends:)
