Tidbits

Just some pics from Nov and Dec left to share.  Karson enjoys wearing his new hat and T-shirt from Jamaica.  He was really hamming it up for me:)

Kaleb's class made these cute turkeys from the apples they got during their field trip to Bi-Lo.
The Kindergarteners put on a Thanksgiving Play for family.  It was SO sweet listening to them sing songs and recite cute little poems!

Here Kaleb is for the special Thanksgiving poem.  Only 12 kids got picked for this one.  Each kid was assigned one letter for the word Thanksgiving.  Kaleb's was, "I is for ice cream on Thanksgiving Day!"

After the play we were invited back to his classroom for a special taste of the vegetable soup and cornbread the class made.  They even made their own butter!  Everything was very yummy:)
Sorry these are so small, it was taken with my phone.

 Our 3 cutie pies:)
Kaleb sportin' his new Buckeyes T-shirt from his b-day.
Pics from a restaurant one afternoon.  Sorry, none of Karson.  He was in a bad mood!

Kassidy received all A's for the first quarter!  It was the first time she officially got grades in school.  She worked very hard for this!
 Christmas tree time!!!

The kids love looking at all our ornaments:)

Kassidy always puts the tree skirt on her and dances around:)

Kassidy's putting the tree skirt under the tree.
 The many faces of Kaleb...

 All done:)

 Kassidy's turn

I love this picture:)  It shows how sweet and loving they can be to each other.  Kassidy was so excited that she could carry Kaleb on her back and Kaleb was thrilled to get a ride!

Kaleb's 6th Birthday

That's right, Kaleb turned 6!  I just cannot believe he is that old already!  We started the day off by opening some presents, then had a super yummy cinnamon roll breakfast.  We enjoyed playing with some new toys (even built a Lego space shuttle!) before lunch.  He had his b-day party at Giggle Bugs this year.  For those of you not in SC it is a place with inflatable bouncy things.  He was very excited to see his friends and cousins and boy did they have fun!  They really worked up a sweat running, jumping, and rolling down the big mountain!  We capped off the day with a trip to Kaleb's favorite restaurant, Pizza Inn.

Too excited to wait until after breakfast for presents!

Here he is checking out some gifts for his surprise gift from big sis

Can you see what it is?

Yea!!!  A fish:)  All he asked for was a fish and punch balloons.

The big candle played the birthday song:)

Party time!

Goofy boys!

The only girls allowed!

Yup, Cars again:)  4th year in a row!

Kaleb had some really sweet cards and coloring pages done by his friends!

Here we are at home trying out Kaleb's new Wii game...Just Dance.  It really is fun:)  And...it really makes you think you can dance!

Meet the newest pet of the Gailey family...Swimmy!  He is a Beta Fish.  So far, Kaleb has been very good at remembering to feed it in the morning and at night.

Chocolate Chip dessert pizza...YUM!  And yes, he did eat both slices after  already eating pizza, ham, and macaroni!

Happy Birthday Kaleb!  We love you so much:)
Thank you to everyone who called or texted to wish Kaleb a happy birthday, or sent a card or gift.  He had a blast being spoiled for the day:)  I also think it made it easier on him when Keith and I left for vacation the next morning.  He had plenty of new things to keep him busy all week.

Kaleb's well visit went very well.  His weight was 33 lbs (.2 percentile), height 43 in (9th percentile), and BMI 12.5.  These stats are awesome for Kaleb!!!  Especially the BMI which we want to be at least 10.  Kaleb has continued to eat well, has lots of energy, and just keeps growing taller!  I've officially had to retire all the 4T pants because they are just too short.  Who knows how long he'll be in 5T because they fit him perfectly in length right now.

Kaleb is excelling in school, especially reading.  The teacher spends some extra time with he and another boy doing more advanced reading and other work.  I'm so glad she's able to do that even with 27 kids in the class!  He catches on to things so quickly, remembers things he's only heard once, and can read big words I never thought he could!  He loves his teachers and has made lots of new friends in class and in the after school program.  According to big sis he also is in love with a little girl, Courtney!

Kaleb is still very sweet and loving, always giving big hugs to his friends and family.  He's becoming more responsible and doing chores routinely.  He does his homework by himself (with a few reminders to do it neatly!).  On the other side he is still very strong willed and if there's something he doesn't want to do he won't hesitate to say NO!  Luckily there are way more sweet moments than nasty ones:)  Kaleb continues to have the worlds best laugh...we just love to hear him giggle!  It really makes you smile and see what a sweet little boy he truly is.
